There are people who are fond of their roots, but with a great nomadic spirit

If I wanted to choose a phrase that can effectively summarize my path, I feel I can identify with: " Don't believe in destiny, follow your dreams ". I belong to that category of people whose future seemed written from a very young age. My childhood took place in the Langhe, where it will always be a part of my heart; as a teenager I studied in Turin, whose international atmosphere reawakened in me that wandering spirit , always very strong. In London I graduated in Business Administration & Marketing, even though I yearned for Saint Martins.

Design applied to fashion, my great passion. My dream. For years it seemed destined to remain so. A first glimmer of hope opened up in Stockholm when at 24, busy with my first internship, I met "my first guide", now an established Scandinavian designer, who saw an alternative itinerary in my path, teaching me the basics to undertake the profession of designer. I then followed a path within the family business, first in Gallo d'Alba then at a subsidiary in Luxembourg, for almost ten years.

However, urban suggestions and creative flashes, inspirations deriving from nature and its poetry, have prevailed over time and the choice has become inevitable for me . For years I have observed everything around me, trying to retain an emotional, tactile and visual imprint from what surrounded me, from the experiences I lived, from the people I met. I dedicated myself to the discovery of materials, fabric processing techniques and hand-made embroidery . All the most important things I have experienced, in the end, have been translated into my creations . In Italy I have met expert craftsmen with skilled hands, who I rely on to make all my garments.

This is how my dream took shape. This is how Stefania Esse was born. Because in the world there are people who are fond of their roots, but with a great nomadic spirit.

I am among them.
