Stefania Esse is a brand shaped by a Swedish–Italian soul.
Born into a prominent Italian entrepreneurial family, Stefania Stroppiana’s path was defined early—guided by heritage, ambition, and an innate sense of creativity.
After graduating from university in London and completing a trainee program in Stockholm, she began her professional journey within the family business, first in Italy and later in Luxembourg. These years laid a solid foundation, blending international perspective with business acumen.
For a long time, fashion design lived quietly as a dream. But upon moving to Scandinavia, that dream found its voice. Surrounded by the clarity and calm of the North, passion prevailed—and Stefania Esse was born.
Today, Stefania Stroppiana lives in Stockholm with her husband Carl and their four children. While she continues to serve on the board of her family’s business, her full creative focus is devoted to Stefania Esse, where she works as Creative Director—shaping collections, crafting brand narratives, and bringing campaigns to life with intention and authenticity.

Finding its identity in slow fashion, Stefania Esse is pursuing a luxury with soul philosophy.
Stefania strongly believes that slow and sustainable fashion is one of the answers for a better tomorrow. Taking care of our planet also means taking care of the processes, hence the choice to produce only in artisanal laboratories and to have a permanent collection.
The whole production is fulfilled in small workshops in Italy in respect of both the artisans and the processes, that take "as much time as necessary", resulting in garments designed and made to last.
The brand mainly focuses on cashmere and other high-end materials as well as hand embroidery techniques.
Designing timeless yet "with a twist" garments. The range varies from knitwear to a selection of cult pieces such as capes, kaftans, kimonos and blazers through a permanent but ever evolving collection, named Resounding Me, and exclusive capsules also in collaboration with other designers.
